Hi!
My name is Michela Rossi, and I’m a comic artist, illustrator, and art director.
In 2016, I contributed to the anthology La Rabbia (Einaudi Stile Libero), and in 2020 to Sporchi e subito (Feltrinelli).
In 2021, I published my first graphic novel Prima di tutto tocca nascere (Feltrinelli Comics) and started collaborating with the newspaper Domani as a comic artist and curator of illustrations for special issues.
With Prima di tutto tocca nascere, I won the New Talents Award at Romics 2022.
In 2023, my second book In un soffio (Oblomov Edizioni) was released, and I received the Gran Guinigi Award for curating Domani’s comics section.
I have written articles and interviews for Domani and Vogue and collaborated as an illustrator and comic artist with Left, Linus, Gambero Rosso, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, and Rolling Stone.
Since 2024, I have been teaching Sociology of Communication in the Illustration program at IED Rome.
Since 2014, I have also worked as a graphic designer for organizations such as Alice nella città, Outdoor Festival, Altaroma, MACRO, and Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
